Dog Logic:
"If It's Not Fun, Why Do It?"
I look at your dog as a complex, living breathing animal, not just a set of problem behaviors. There is more to communicating with dogs than you might have seen on TV. In fact, much more. Fear, improper socialization, and lack of clear communication are the most common reasons dogs keep doing the things that drive you crazy.
Your dog can learn that working with you is a better option than ignoring you and doing his own thing. It doesn't have to be a constant battle of wills! If you can commit some focus, daily practice and consistency, your reward will be a confident, trusting companion who thinks the sun rises and sets on you.
Reward-based training rapidly teaches the dog exactly what we expect, and then reinforces the correct response, until the new behavior becomes automatic. There is no intimidation required, just consistency. I can teach you to how to manage, redirect, and communicate clearly and decisively with your best four-legged friend.
Now that's leadership.
And it's only logical!
