Puppy Logic

Did you know that leading behaviorists all agree: a well-adjusted puppy needs to get out and experience all the things he or she will encounter in life BEFORE 18 weeks of age?  And the sooner, the better. Phobias and aggression can be prevented with careful socialization.  Your puppy will get an assessment to identify specific socialization goals, and you'll also get important hands-on help for housetraining, chewing, mouthing, pushy and demanding behavior, and other puppy issues that can be modified before they become habits!  Session is 2 hours and written "help sheets" and email follow-up is included.  Fee: $150 for 2 hour session.  For further training, read on...


Problem-Solving Logic

For people who want to address a few behavior issues (for example, housetraining, chewing, pulling on leash, fearful or aggressive behaviors, barking) individual sessions are available.  A pre-visit client form is emailed to you prior to the session, so that your consultant can spend the session time getting down to business, rather than history-taking. "Homework" help sheets and email follow-up support is included, so you get the most for your time and money.  Depending on the issue, the dog, and the person, a single 2 hour session might be all you need!  Fee: $150 for 2 hour session. 

For more complex issues, or for a complete "manners" package, get a discount on a series of three, 1.5 hour long sessions -- $325 if you purchase the series at the first session.


Exercise Logic

  

Does your dog or puppy need more exercise than you can provide?  If you live within 15 minutes of Takoma Park, MD, let me give your dog a workout while you're at work!  I will pick up your dog and bring him (or her) to a hiking trail for a minimum one-hour trek (and if you request, a swim in a creek, in season).  Your dog will have the chance to hike with other friendly dogs or alone with the trainer -- your choice.  He or she will learn about coming when called and walking more politely on a leash, plus some other neat tricks.  All for $50 per excursion!  $25 if we stay in your neighborhood for a 1/2 hour jaunt.  Ask about fees for "double-dogs."
